My favorite thing has always been a good story. As a kid I’d sit and read as many books as I could, often aloud to the trees in my backyard just in case they liked a good tale as well.
Today, I am living and working in New York exploring costume design as a medium for world building and story telling. I recognize, however, that no world can be built through one element on its own. I love the room for collaboration theater and costume design allows, both with other tech elements and actors.
After working on shows such as The Skriker by Caryl Churchill during my MFA, I have been eager to work on more shows with high fantasy elements rooted in the same kind of nature I read to as a child.
